The week before the sale, you open 5 tabs: cache order, PHP version, backup history, the activity log and your plugin / extension scanner. You click on each tab and see everything that needs attention.
Now with Pressable, you can skip these steps and paste this tweet into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor:
Run a pre-launch readiness check on (your store). Confirm that the edge cache is enabled, the PHP version is 8.2 or higher, a backup was completed in the last 24 hours, and there have been no plugin or theme changes in the last 7 days. Also flag any extensions with known security vulnerabilities. Give me a prioritized list of anything to fix before go-live.
Then you get a prioritized list of what’s good, what’s not good and what to fix first.
Your AI tool can now scan your server
Pressable’s new Model Context Protocol (MCP) does just that. The AI assistant you choose is connected to Pressable and can verify your hosting details. It monitors your server and provides accurate feedback on what is happening on your site.
It can also take responsibility
This connection doesn’t just read your configuration. It can create and restore backups, clear your cache, modify security caching before traffic spikes, and push a website back to life.
Ask for verification in the tweet. Pressable’s review goes like this:
Restore (store) from the most recent filesystem and database backups. Tell me which backup you're using before you start, and confirm when the restore is complete.
This allows you to detect errors before the backup starts. If you want a read-only report, you can change the prompt to request it.
Another incentive for ongoing hosting maintenance
This MCP is not only useful for sales day preparation. Here are some examples of other things you can do.
Say something broke, and no one knows why.
Show me the site activity log for (store). Summarize any plugin installs, updates, or deletions; theme changes; configuration changes; and any collaborator actions. I need to understand what changed before the incident started.
Or, you’re trying to set up a banner for the day of the sale:
Flush edge cache on (store) after I push my sale banner.
If you need to set up a monthly check with your site partner:
Audit access to (store) for this month. List all collaborators and their assigned roles. List all SFTP accounts and when each was last accessed. Flag any accounts that look unfamiliar or haven't been used in 90 days, and recommend whether to remove them.
Connect quickly with the AI tool of your choice
In Claude on the web, you connect via OAuth; identification is not required. Go there Customize → Connectors, click +, select Add custom connectorand enter https://mcp.pressable.com. Log in to your Pressable account. (On a Team or Company plan, the owner must turn on the custom connectors first.)
ChatGPT connects via OAuth, although server MCP is not yet enabled for all accounts. Most can install it by turning on Developer Mode and going Settings → app → Advanced.
Do you prefer Claude Desktop, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Code VS? They are connected by a carrier signal. Create a my.pressable.com login below Tools → Clickable MCPthen find the config file for your app and paste a snippet with your logo. Pressable’s instructions have the exact steps for each device.

Does he want to see orders too? Flip another switch
A scalable MCP operates at the host layer. Your products and orders reside in WordPress and come to a second connection: the WordPress MCP plugin, which you can enable on every website Site Configuration in MyPressable.
One nerdy catch: specific types of articles, such as lookbooks or custom product forms, appear only if you’re registered with show_in_rest => true. If your assistant doesn’t see something you know is there, check it first.
How MCP Pressable helps marketers
OWUP manages more than 60 WooCommerce sites in Norway and Sweden. Many of their customers sell through point-of-sale systems that are 20 or 30 years old, and these systems are not compatible with modern sales of what is available.
For one watch retailer, inventory management has been declining over the years. The team connected Claude to the store’s database through Pressable MCP and provided him with POS data to compare. Claude found the corrupted output metadata, which was the line where the two systems didn’t match, and patched it. Within an hour, start to finish.
“It’s day and night. With Pressable MCP, we can move faster with information.”
– Ole Straume Andersen, Managing Director, OWUP
