The young entrepreneur behind popular Sydney chain Get Sashimi has bought a five-bedroom Vaucluse mansion for $12.5 million.
The house at 36 Derby St was sold on August 5 through Richard Faludi and Nicholas Malouf of Raine and Horne Double Bay and was incredibly popular with buyers.
Agents have been tight-lipped about the buyer’s identity, but the latest deal revealed him to be Antonio Muollo, the 27-year-old founder of the fish franchise, which has stores in Bondi, Coogee and the Sydney Fish Market.
Muollo is the next generation in the De Costi seafood business, having worked in his father’s fish shop since he was nine years old.

Muollo’s first venture, GetFish, was a hit during Covid.
He bought this luxurious mansion in Vaucluse for $12.5 million.
Both levels have a panoramic view of the harbor, the Bridge, the Opera House and the city skyline.
In 2018, at the age of 19, he started Get Fish, an online store that delivers fresh fish. It was one of the fastest growing businesses over Covid.
It’s easy to see why Muollo was drawn to the Derby St property.
The marketing advises: “The chef will enjoy a Calacatta marble kitchen with Miele gas appliances, while the open-plan living/dining area is framed by walls of glass that capture the ever-changing landscape and extends to an expansive landscaped entertaining terrace.”
At the time of listing, Faludi said the property “bucked the trend” in a slow market, drawing 47 buyers to the first few open houses.
Antonio Muollo started working in his father’s fish shop at the age of nine.
The chef’s kitchen is the center of attention.
Open plan living areas lead to entertaining deck.
He said it was winter and the fact that there were post-budget blues in the market meant “there’s not much out there”.
“Where else can you find a five-bedroom house with a view in Vaucluse?” he said.
“Nothing.”
The house “commanded one of Sydney’s most extraordinary harbor panoramas”, with uninterrupted views from both levels spanning the Harbor Bridge, Opera House and city skyline.
To the rear is a heated swimming pool set amongst specially established landscaped gardens.
