Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finding a new home base in the Cotswolds

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly moved into a new Cotswolds home on a friend’s estate.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who moved to England with their two children in August, Prince Archie7 and Princess Lilibet5, settled into their new life by the pond.

After the move, the couple lived in the “main house” of a friend’s sprawling property.

However, their living arrangements have now reportedly changed, with the Daily Mail reporting that they have moved to another property “on the estate”.

According to the publication, the friend is a wealthy businessman with whom Harry, 42, befriended through mutual support of various charities.

Harry and Markle have been rumored to be house hunting, with several reports stating that the former actress is even trying to replicate the luxury they have at their Montecito mansion.

The Duchess wants her UK residence to have nine bedrooms – the same number of bedrooms as her California properties – and plenty of luxury amenities.

News of their move comes just weeks after Harry revealed his decision to leave California behind and move his family to the UK, revealing that his children’s education and a desire to reconnect with his roots played a big part in the decision.

In Interview with GQ Filmed in September but released recently, Harry explained that the opportunity to enroll his children in British schools was particularly meaningful to him.

“The opportunities for the family, getting the kids into a British school means a lot to me. I didn’t know how important it was to me,” she said.

“I always thought it would be something that I would try to do or we would try to do, but now they’ve been at school for two weeks. They love it and it gives them a whole different experience.”

Harry emphasized that his decision was not a criticism of the US education system, but rather an opportunity for Archie and Lilibet to experience life in two different countries.

“I’m not criticizing American schools, but I think it’s very important today for 7- and 5-year-olds to be able to make that comparison and have two completely different cultural experiences,” she said.

In addition to his studies, Harry said that returning to Britain allowed his children to spend more time with relatives and develop closer relationships with family friends.

Another motivation for the move, he explained, was “to be closer to my family and to be back on UK soil for a few days here or there or longer than a week.

“It’s been great to be close to friends, family, friends and friends and also their kids, to have endless playdates to help our kids settle in,” she said.

Despite the significance of the move, Harry admitted that he and Meghan, 45, did not map out the move for years in advance.

“For us, when certain stars align and it’s clear that it’s meant to be, or probably will be, we lean toward it,” he said.

After living in California for six years, she said she increasingly wants her children to experience the country where she spent her childhood.

“I’ve been here for six years now and I’ve only been able to go back to the UK for a short time, actually all my family are there with me, where I grew up, I grew up there, I want to show my children where I grew up and give them some of the experiences that I had – not necessarily bad, but good – real, proper, now seriously thinking about it,” he said.

Harry also spoke to the British press about his complicated history, saying he hoped his family’s return could mark the beginning of a more positive chapter.

“Once you can talk about it and raise awareness about it, people see it for what it is, and that makes the environment a little bit easier,” he said.

“And it won’t necessarily stop the behavior, but that’s the second part of the behavior: Hopefully it will change.”

The Duke admitted that tensions have persisted in the years since he and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior royals, but suggested he would welcome the opportunity to move on.

“What happened then was then, what’s happened in the last six years was a continuation of that. There are some fights, that’s for sure. But I hope we can all draw a line under that,” he said.

He added that both his family and the British media hope they can put certain controversies behind them.

“I’m optimistic. I’m hopeful,” Harry said. “I’m not naive. I’ve been naive in the past. But I think it’s important to be optimistic.”

The interview came just days after Harry and Meghan made their first official joint appearances in England since the move.

On October 15, the couple traveled to Nottingham, England, where they greeted around 100 people during a public engagement.

The pair also spent time interacting with local schoolchildren, squatting down to talk to them. During the visit, Meghan was presented with flowers and a balloon.

“It’s great to be back,” he told one man.

The warm reception was filled with several special moments, including moments that saw the crowd chanting “I love you Duchess Meghan”.

The look marked their return to a city that played an important role in their early relationship, serving as the location of their first official joint engagement since their November 2017 engagement announcement.

Their visit comes just days after it was reported that they had spent the first few weeks in Britain adjusting to their new surroundings before turning their attention to professional and charity commitments.

Their latest chapter comes more than six years after the couple stepped away from their roles as working members of the royal family and built a new life in North America.

The visit comes as an insider close to the couple told People that Harry and Meghan are keen to focus more on their philanthropic activities, initially helping their children adjust to living in a new country.

Their transition was not without complications.

According to the release, Archie and Lilibet were forced to switch schools just two days into the school year due to safety and logistical issues with the commute.

However, the children are said to be adjusting to the new environment, allowing their parents to devote extra time to responsibilities outside the family home.

A source told People that Harry and Meghan have set a schedule based on their children’s school hours, while continuing to prioritize spending time together as a family.
